Hey there, I’m Hannah, a twenty-one-year-old communication student figuring out life in the Philippines. I’m a Filipina with a love and passion for creating a meaningful impact in my own little ways. I’m a student newswriter, a bookish friend, and a journaling junkie who is fond of words and all things creative.

During my pre-college years, I have always expressed myself through writing, performing, and being a student leader. Hence, I took Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Saint Louis University. My three years as a comm arts student pushed me to explore new skills, ideas, and mindsets. However, I believe that learning does not stop in the four corners of a classroom or, in our time, a virtual classroom. That’s why I strive to put myself out there in the real world.

Currently, I am the Deputy News Writer of our university’s publication, White and Blue. I also try to share my creative, leadership, and collaborative skills by volunteering in a non-profit organization that aims to support the education of my fellow Pangasinense youth. Meanwhile, with my love for learning, I also try to take other online courses that could help me increase my knowledge in the field of Communication.

In my free time, I would grab a book, write in my journal, watch movies and vlogs, take photos of random sceneries that give me joy, or romanticize the beauty of life while listening to lo-fi and indie music. If I would describe myself, I’d say I’m a dreamer, creative thinker, and an ambivert who strives in routines and order. If there’s one thing that I can’t leave without, probably it’s my planner.

In this little space of mine on the internet, you can witness my musings, creative ideas, and experiences.

Words I live by…

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald

“Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it.” — Ekhart Tolle from the book The Power of Now
